Prolific Driver Problems ------------------------ Using the Prolific "USB-to-Serial Comm Port" driver from http://www.prolific.tw/ for the PL-2303X chip can give stability problems (blue screen of death or reboots). If you are experiencing those kinds of problems, then try a different driver version. If you already have a driver installed, then run "DRemover98ME2KXP.exe" to remove the old driver. After a reboot, you can run the installer for another driver version. Version 2.0.2.1 should work for both Windows XP and 2000. Windows XP run well with version 2.0.0.26 (on most systems). Version 2.0.2.8 has not been tested at Infineon, but it is currently the newest version available.
