Overview
CubieNOS is a 16-bit stereo audio reference DAC module designed for A10-Cubieboard and A20-Cubieboard.
Based on dual Philips D/A converters for fully balanced design and a Burr Brown buffered output stage with
enough power to drive low impedance headphones.
Power Requirements
No external power other than supplied to Cubieboard is needed.
Digital section 3.3VDC
Analog section 5VDC
Configuration
CubieNOS is ordered preconfigured with two alternatives.
Version A
Output frequnecy equals input frequnecy. Meaning, if input feed is 44.1 kHz, CubieNOS outputs 44.1 kHz.
With basic soldering skills this can be reconfigured to version B.
Version B
Fixed resampled output frequnecy at 176.4 kHz no matter input frequency.
With basic soldering skills this can be reconfigured to version A.

Installation
CubieNOS is easy installed within seconds if you follow this guide.

Attach the CubieNOS female header to Cubieboard male header.
Notice 1 row of pins is left out.
Otherwise CubieNOS will not work and the screw installation later on will not fit.

Insert the short spacers between CubieNOS and Cubieboard.
Insert the screws through CubieNOS-Spacers-Cubiboard and screw into the tall M3 spacer.

no resampling configuration.

Note
Don’t connect to both green and blue schematic,
choose either.
