Context Winner

by Ahmed Hakami, Ph.D.

We can attribute success of NLP to many aspects and elements. One of them is "Context Obsession" if we could say so.

Content free thinking and related systems are wonderful short cuts to changes to excellence. When someone involves in content's realm, s/he wouldn't see any further than walls of the current state (problem). Stepping away and looking to the context that problem occurred in, open endless and unexpected ways to overcome whatever holding us back.

Almost all NLP techniques blessed by context strategies, here are some:

Perceptual Positions: by stepping onto different points of views and walking in others shoes, you are free from content. And context of the matter is so clear that you can simply point to the solutions.

Modeling: by modeling someone else for success, you are once more leaving your content behind, and being free for while to see how others react in such context.

Swish Patterns: all kind of such techniques involve seeing ourselves in the way we want to be in that context (Our Best Pictures) and eliminating the barricades of content (Cue Pictures).

So... If you could program your mind to be Context Winner in any given situation you are saving your self a great deals of health, time, relations, and money which content's lovers give to therapists.

Now...

How can you obtain such ability!

Cover the theory side of such thinking system, read whatever is related to the subject, learn the techniques that encourage being a context winner. Of course this will involve taking courses in NLP, Neuro-Semantics, and/or other systems.

Practice as many techniques as possible, starting with simple ones and with simple contexts.

Teach people around you how they can solve simple problems with concentrating for while on context instead of being overwhelmed with the content.

Create and use a daily journal that focuses on a theme for the day. It could be something like: "Today and everyday, I am a Context Winner." Write down expected contexts and contents of that day, how would deal with them. Review and see how is your progress, and put your plans for corrections.

And...

I wake up this morning, and wondered if my day would be a context day or a content one. If I stay this day in bed, how can I classify it, context or content! Sure, bed is a context and I will be the content here, therefore, I jumped enthusiastically, and enjoyed my day. Being a content is the opposite of being a Context Winner, isn't it!
