Module 1: Standards-Based Management with WMF.
Module Overview
Windows Server® has always been a great operating system for a server and its devices. Starting
with Windows Server 2012, there is a transformation to being a great operating system for lots of
servers and the devices connecting them, whether they are physical or virtual and whether they are
on-premises or off.
Many of the tasks and processes used in an operating system for a single server must be reimagined
and redesigned for an operating system designed for multi-machine management. This new focus on
multi-machine management can be categorized into:
Standards-based management
Robust automation
Multi-machine experience
This module explains the multi-machine management capabilities of Windows Server 2012.
